How to set up a proxy in Dolphin{anty}
Add an HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 proxy to a Dolphin{anty} profile and check the connection.
What you need
A proxy in the format HOST:PORT:LOGIN:PASSWORD. Dolphin{anty} also accepts HOST:PORT and LOGIN:PASSWORD@HOST:PORT. Paste it as a single line into the new proxy field and the other fields fill in automatically.
You can set the type with a prefix: http://, socks5:// or socks4://. For SOCKS5, use the separate SOCKS5 port if one is listed with your proxy.
Setup
- Create a profile or open an existing one on the Browser Profiles screen (in the list, click the pencil in the Proxy column).
- Choose New proxy (the other options are No proxy and a previously saved proxy).
- Paste the string, for example
HOST:PORT:LOGIN:PASSWORDorsocks5://HOST:PORT:LOGIN:PASSWORD. - Save the profile.
- To add the proxy to the shared list in advance, open the Proxy screen and click Add Proxy; the steps after that are the same.
Check
- In the proxy list, click the arrows next to the entry: Dolphin{anty} checks the connection and detects the geolocation and time zone.
- Start the profile and open the IP check page on Hopmind: the address should match the proxy address.
Common problems
- A red exclamation mark when starting a profile, or red arrows in the list: the proxy is not responding. Check the login, password, port and expiry date.
- The problem may be on your network or in the built-in checker: test the proxy with a third-party checker in the IP:PORT:LOGIN:PASSWORD format, or from another network.
- If some sites open and others do not, contact your proxy provider: Dolphin{anty} does not affect how the proxy works.
