How to set up a proxy in GoLogin
Add an HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 proxy to a GoLogin profile and check the connection status.
What you need
Host, port, login and password. GoLogin accepts the HOST:PORT:LOGIN:PASSWORD string as well as entries with a protocol prefix, for example socks5://LOGIN:PASSWORD@HOST:PORT. HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5 are supported; the protocol is selected automatically based on availability. For SOCKS5, use the separate port if one is listed with your proxy.
Setup
- Open the All profiles section and find the Location column.
- Click the + button next to the profile.
- Choose the computer icon and enter the IP, port, login and password.
- Click Connect.
Other ways: the Proxies section, then Import proxies (paste the lines and click Import proxies again); or, in the profile menu (three dots), choose Settings, then Proxy. For several profiles, select them and choose Proxy in the bulk actions, then Update proxy.
Check
- After you connect, GoLogin checks the proxy right away and shows a green or red status.
- Launch the profile and open the IP check page on Hopmind: the address should match the proxy address.
Common problems
- Red status: check the host, port, login, password and the proxy expiry date.
- It is better to assign one proxy to one profile: a proxy shared by several profiles can link the accounts by IP.
- VPN or proxy extensions inside the Orbita browser are unreliable; use the profile's proxy setting instead.
