How to set up a proxy in MoreLogin
Add an HTTP, HTTPS or SOCKS5 proxy in MoreLogin through Add Proxy or through Edit Proxy in a profile.
What you need
The proxy details in the format host:port:login:password. When adding one by one they go into separate fields; for batch paste, a line with the type at the start is used.
http://HOST:PORT:LOGIN:PASSWORD
socks5://HOST:PORT:LOGIN:PASSWORDSetup
- In the proxy list, click Add Proxy and choose Add Individually.
- In the Proxy Type field, choose HTTP, HTTPS or SOCKS5 to match your port.
- In IP Query Channel, choose the source of IP data: IP2location, MaxMind, DB-IP or IP-API.
- In Proxy Information, enter the host, port, login (account) and password. The Refresh URL field is only for dynamic mobile proxies; leave it empty for static ISP and datacenter proxies.
- Confirm the addition. For several proxies, use Add Proxy, then Batch Add: up to 100 lines at a time, duplicates are filtered out, and if no type is given, SOCKS5 is applied by default.
- To attach the proxy to a profile, open Profiles, then Browser, choose the profile and click Edit Proxy. When creating a new profile (New Profile, then Browser Profile), the proxy is set in Advanced Settings.
What to check in your version
The documentation describes the add-proxy window but does not name a separate check button. If your version has one, use it before saving.
Check
- Launch the profile and open the IP check page on Hopmind.
- Make sure the address and country match your proxy, not your home connection.
Common problems
- Authorization error: check the login and password. The host, port, login and password fields must not contain the characters @ and :.
- Timeout or no connection: make sure Proxy Type matches the port (HTTP or HTTPS for the main port, SOCKS5 for the separate SOCKS5 port).
- The country is detected incorrectly: change the IP Query Channel; different databases can geolocate the same address differently.
